East Lansing wildlife control tip of the month:

How to get squirrels out of a wall

Squirrels are good at climbing. They can climb up and down on the trees and so do in the chimneys and walls. They would love to nest in your home like in the eaves, walls and chimneys. If there is little stamping of the feet, murmuring noises and scurrying sounds on the walls of the house, particularly at daytime and in the early morning or early evening, most probably you have few visitors around. To get rid of them from the walls is quite close to the method of getting rid of them from the attic. You must seek for the entry point first and then set up East Lansing exterminator one-way exclusion doors or cage traps, catch them alive, and then seal the holes of the entry points and find the nest of baby squirrels and then remove them as well.

The squirrels will nest through the wall, it is the mother who will bring the East Lansing animal trapping insulation for the nest in there and then the mother will take the babies. You can take them out by removing the mother first and then cut a hole in the wall and get rid of the babies of your hand. But make sure you do not do this using your bare hand, because that is too risky. Even the young squirrels can bite you, so you must use a pair of welding gloves and then take them so they cannot bite you. Another choice is to put a trap on the wall and then wait for them to come out into the trap, but it is simpler for an East Lansing wildlife removal professional to just take them by the hand. So, if you will hire someone to do this, it will take them a few hours only, but if you will be the one to do this, it may take you days.

Even if squirrels are good at climbing, they should have something to grip onto. They are used to climbing whenever they want to. However, if a man made surface is typically slippery like the wall, they can fall down and they cannot climb back up again. In this case, you can hear them scratching the wall, as they try to go up. Though, they can easily chew anything, it is important for them to chew to be able to grind and this breaks their teeth. As soon as they live in the East Lansing animal control attic, they will check on things that they can use and they will crawl through the walls to check what they can use and if they can live there. If they find the smallest weakness in the ceiling, most probably, where the electrical wires and cable wires are that leads them to the lights, they will go through it and chew to the point that they are open it will lead them to your room.
