Delhi Charter wildlife control tip of the month:

How to keep squirrels out of your house

When the squirrel makes your attic its haven, you can also find yourself at a loss of how to get it out. The Delhi Charter exterminator repellents cannot be efficient to get rid of them. One Delhi Charter animal control way to get rid of them is to block the spaces that they use as an entryway. But before that, you must make sure that they are completely caught even the babies, because you do not want the babies to die in the attic or under the porch and rot there.

Exclusion method
First, you must keep your attic closed, if there are holes patch them to prevent the squirrel from coming in. Put on the chimney cap or the wire mesh fencing on the chimney. You must also cover the vents using a Delhi Charter animal trapping wire mesh fence. If they have chewed the holes that leads to the house, you need to just have at least one particular hole to serve as an exit point, but this hole should be covered for a while after the problem stops. Be sure to also close the openings between the attic and throughout the house, so that the squirrels will know that they are not invited and welcome in this place.

Trapping method
Set the right type of trap. Use a small live cage trap and then place it in a corner where it is not visibly seen by the rodent. Use small sized traps only, because the big trap can make them move and wander around and that can hurt them along the way. The live cage traps can be bought from an animal shop near you or you can also order online. There is an instruction in the trap package, follow the Delhi Charter wildlife removal instructions carefully, so you can trap the animal successfully. You can use a live bait if you have caught the babies. You can surely make the mother get in the trap if one of her baby is there, but peanut will do along with slices of apples and bread crusts. These are just some of the most common food that you can use as a bait.

Relocate them after trapping
Relocating the Delhi Charter pest control squirrels is one way to move them away from your home without killing or hurting them. Driving them 5-10 miles away from home will be more than enough to make them not come back again. Do not just move the squirrels in your yard unless the government tells you to do so. If you will move the squirrel in your yard, it will likely look for a way to come back and you don’t want that to happen.
